So I am finally back home from university. I have officially finished my first semester of university. I am just hoping that I did well on my exams since I really have no idea. I didn't get much sleep before most of them. Luckily for me, I only had to write 4 exams since my psychology exam was optional.
Christmas vacation is only 2 and a half weeks. That is really not a long time. But that's okay because I am actually looking forward to my classes next semester. History especially should be interesting. Which is kind of funny since it was a course I chose after panicking because the elective I wanted was full and all the other ones I looked into were either full or did not fit into my reschedule. (And since I had already added my other classes there was nothing I could do about it. That whole week was a mess because I was so late in the enrollment period so my schedules did not turn out at all as I suspected). I am also slightly worried about buying books.
I got back early this morning and then didn't get much sleep. It took so long to get home because the roads were horrible. The driving conditions and rush hour traffic meant nearly to hours of going at a mere 20 km/hour.
It was especially boring because I had nothing to do. All my stuff was in the back, so there was nothing to do but listen to music. And not good music, very old, very bad music. I tried to sleep but it was so cold in the vehicle that I could not.
I met up with Mr. Rocko at our old high school to go back and visit with the random people there. I was only here for a couple of minutes before the school went into secure mode. We have been sitting here for half an hour while police officers do who knows what. It is so boring, especially since luch time is nearing.

Long Time No Speak
I don't think I have updated this blog since the first week of university, and now final exams for first semester are rapidly approaching. I have made it through the good times and the bad, good times being things like getting 98 % on a midterm exam, the bad things, those such as nearly failing an assignment or missing the bus to come back after visiting Mr. Rocko.
I have found university not all that bad, although a bit stressful at times. I do miss my home lots, and the things, like sleeping in my own bed where I control how much the window is open and when, to taking long hot baths. Nothing like that hear, only cramped shower stolls and the other day we even had 0 hot water. TM nearly froze taking her shower!
There seems that there is always lots to here, yet often not so much to do. There are lots of events and such going on and of course there are always assignments due or exams to study for, but it seems like whenever I am trying to relax there is nothing for me to do.
I have noticed some weird problems with the bandwith lately. I run through 100 mb quickly when before I barely used any and my bandwith is never full. I hope there is some time soon where no one is online so that it can fill back up. We keep going negative which is not cool because it could cause my port to be shut off. Anyways this has taken long enough.

Bored Stiff
The very first thing I learned about University is that is can be very boring. I'm not talking about the classes themselves, which can actually be quite interesting, but instead the endless amount of time between classes. It's' the time that keeps you from doing anything interesting or productive. You can't always work on assignments because if you start working on a tough problem you may miss you're next class. You can't do anything fun because there is never enough time.
The worst is when you have only and hour before class. You can't walk back to rez because it's 10 minutes there, and ten minutes back. When you add in the fact that you want to be 10 or 20 minutes early to some classes so that you get a seat, there is really no point to going back to rez. Instead you just have to hang around by you're next class and find some way to kill an hour.
Evenings aren't much better. You are either not working on assignments and board because everyone else is busy, or you are working on assignments and board because you are working on assignments. It's really a lose-lose situation. Still being board at home can be fought of with games and sports activities.
The boredom before class can sometimes be fought off with the use of a laptop, chatting with friends, surfing the net, especially if you use you're laptop for you're next class. This, however, assumes that you're friends are not in class or away from their computer. And even if you do use you're laptop, you run the risk that you're battery might run out in class, or rather that you're computer might start beeping to let you know that you have a low battery. All in all it's still not that good of a situation.
The break between classes can also be used to get important tasks done such as returning text books or buying supplies. This only works for the first couple of days though, because you end up finishing everything you need to do and then you can just sit.
Probably the most logical thing to do is to bring an assignment with you so that you can work on it outside of you're next class. People going into the classroom near you should be you`re signal that the class is about to start, and by working on you`re assignments, you do something productive. At least if you are struggling with an assignment the time might pass a little quicker.
Anyways, remember that when you`re going to university, prepared to be bored.
Note: All this is written after having attended each of my classes only one or to times
Double Note: The word class can also be substituted with the word lecture or the word tutorial
Triple note: The statement that the classes themselves are interesting does not mean that you will not be bored IN you're class
Quadruple note: This is the last one, I swear. The use of a laptop between classes assumes that you have wireless internet access in the buildings.

Thursday Update
So we are well into frosh week now. The highlight of Tuesday's math faculty activities was the tie ceremony where we got our Pink Ties, as well as our frosh kits. The frosh kits were filled with lots of cool things like cups and key chain flashlights, but the best thing of all had to be the Pink Tie.
Legend has it that one of the Profs who worked here when the faculty was newly opened would always where crazy ties to work. The favourite tie of the staff and students was the proffessor's Pink Tie. When the Prof retired, a giant pinnk tie was found on the side of the math building. Ever since, the faculty has adopted the pink tie as it's mascot/symbol. The origional pink tie was apparently stolen by someone and made it's way around other universities. When it became apparent that the tie was not coming back, the faculty got a new pink tie. That tie however was destroyed with paintballs by some egineering students. That was when the tie guard was established to guard the new pink tie during frosh week and since than nothing has happened to it.
Just a legend of course. The tie guard does more than just guard the tie. They also no where every group from every faculty is at any time during orientation week so that they can point first years in the right direction in case they get lost. Probably because the giant pink tie is easy to spot from nearly everywhere on campus. However, the main duty is to guard the tie.
Yesterday we went on a tour of the campus. It was pretty much useless because I will never remember those places anyways. After the tour we went and played games against other math teams. There were games like EarthBall and Soccer Frisby (playing soccer and frisby at the same time with two frisbies and two soccer balls). My team was undefeated in the activities but since we were also scored on enthousiasm and such, we did not win. The prize wasn't so good since it was just that you were allowed to stay overnight at the Tie Guard, and earn you're tie guard wings, supposedly an honor within the math faculty. In the evening we went to a mixer with the faculties of Math and Art. There were lots of things to do like a movie and board games center and a crazy record breakers activities for things like stacking golf balls. I met an engineer called RA in the games corner and watched part of a James Bond Movie.
Today I got to sleep in because this morning was the International Orientation. In the afternoon I will be writing the ELPE which you have to pass in order to continue in you're program.

Hello from University
After all this bitching and chatting it's finally over with. I've moved into residence and met my two new room mates. I've bet some people from my floor and the floor Don. It wasn't as hard as I thought to fit everything in except I think I might need a new power bar. More later after I get back from the floor meeting.
Later: So I am back from all the activities that accompany the first day of frosh weeik. We started off with an icebreaker activity where we all wrote something weird or interesting about ourselves on a piece of paper. We than stuck the piece of paper inside a blown up balloon and stuck the balloon in the middle of the circle. People than had to pop a balloon and than had to find the person who wrote the thing on your paper. Except some of the balloons popped by themselves so I didn`t have to pop one. We than ate pizza and drank water.
Afterwards we met up with the rest of our residence and went down to the green where we participated in a number of different icebreaking activities such as grouping the entire freshman population plus the senior assistants according to the month they were born in. I met so many new people in such a short period of time, it`s hard to remeber everyone.
After the group activities were over, we went back to our residence for the Rez Orientation opening ceremonies. We got to watch all the dons do a crazy dance and we heard a speach made by the guy the residence was named after. Afterwards we all went back to our Quads and ate ice cream in the courtyard.

Long Time
So, it's been a long time since I last posted on here. This summer I have prepared for university, visited Boston, and flown across the country for my cousins wedding. Today I had an interesting experience since I got my brand toshiba laptop. Yes, I got a toshiba even though Mr. Rocko told me repeatadly not to get one. My brother has never had any problem with his so I suppose it should be all right. To tell you the truth, it's a very different experience since I have been a Mac user all my life. And Vista is nothing like I have ever used before. The hardest thing by far to get used to though is typind on a laptop. I keep touching the touchpad by mistake so the cursor keeps jumping everywhere. Oh well, I'm sure I will get used to it soon.

Computers Are Useful
I've never really realised how useful computers can be until now. When I heard a fellow classmate complain about testing his program. I added a super secret simulation mode to my program so I can let the computer run all my tests for me. Sort of like they do in the reall world. I guess he wasn't smart enough to think about something like that, taking the time to play through an entire game just to test if he fixed his error. Me I just press a few buttons and the Computer instantly plays a 30 turn game for me. Instant results. All I have to do is go back through the boards and make sure there are no illegal moves and that all the proper changes have been made. Perfection is great aint it.

To Visa or Not To Visa
So I am getting my first Credit Card soon. It's a TD visa card. Now that brings up the question of to use the Visa or to not use the Visa. When do people use a credit card, when is it smart to use a debit card, or when should you just use cold hard cash. There is some sort of limit though by the fact that I will have a $500 spending limit. And the high 19.75 % interest rate is also something. Anyways these are the questions that the young have to ask.

Nerd Jokes
Here are some of the technical nerd jokes/sayings/random junk I have in my repetoire
"There are 10 kinds of people in the world. Those who understand binary and those who don't"
"The sky is blue because god used the wrong hex code"
"graduation: "
"10111011>210111011: attack of the 2's"
"Redefining the meaning of CHANGE"
"System Error 121:Salutation File Not Found"
Viva la nerds and all they stand for in this world.

My Ears and My Nose
My ears are being assulted by very loud music from a bitchin sound sytem and my nose is being assulted by the musk of Mr. Rocko. Lets just say I preferred the assult on my ears to the assult on my nose up until the point where Mr. Rocko farted into the mic. He can be so immature sometimes. Speaking of my immature, my younger brother is not on my Mom's good side these days. He has been neglecting his homework to play video games and been lying about how much needs to be done for his computer science program since every time she asks he is almost done and then will go work for 4 hours and still be almost done. 4 Hours and more is not almost done. He is being a bad little boy.

Plants are not inanimate
So I was randomly singing one of the songs from Little Shop of Horrors yesterday. The "Feed Me" song. I really don't even know if that's the name of the song. But I realized that Seymour says "You're a plant, an inanimate object." Yet by definition, a plant is not an inanimate object since they are living organisms and even have some form of movement (research flowers that tilt into the sun). So in a way, the plant was right to say "Does this look inanimate to you." Creepy.
In other news, I went shoe shopping yesterday. I was looking for new shews to replace my old good shoes. I went to a discount shoes store since its the only place nearby. I originally tried looking for shoes in a 9 1/2 W but they were to big. In the end I had to go all the way down to a size 8. I ended up buying the most darling pair of black heals. They have about a two inch heel, are made of synthetic material, and have these adorable little bows on the front. You might say they look like they were made for little kids but honestly, what little kid wears high heels. Anyways their awesome but I have to wear them around the house before the gala. I don't wear heals to much so it will take some getting used to. I think I'll Post a picture later, since I don't have any pictures right now.
Today the yearbooks were handed out. They increased the price by $3 this year so that the year books could be printed in full color and I must say it was worth it. The photos look so much better in color. However they messed up on my grad writeup. They only printed like half of it. But at least they put the AV team picture in this year and I even got a picture in by myself. One where I am eating in the AV office. Mr. Rocko says that this is the first year they have gotten the name right, calling us the AV team instead of the tech crew. The only bad part is that, because of the timing, Jane is still in the picture even though she quit the team. That might make her think that she is still on the team.
Another bad thing is that we have to clean up the cage sometime soon. It is a disaster. I say leave it until after exams, when Craig and I have graduated. I don't get the point of Mr. Rocko taking the time to organize everything to his liking when he is about to graduate. If you think about it, it might be smarter to let the Orange Hat Boy organize the cage since he is going to be team lead next year. Speaking of OHB, B-rocker to Mr. Rocko that OHB has to set up the sound and lighting for the Athletics banquet all by himself (with supervision) to prove that he can do it. On the bright side, PHead seems to have accepted the fact that OHB will be team leader next year and he (PHead) won't. Although I suspect he is just biding his time to come up with a plan to take power. At the start of the year he tried to take power from Mr. Rocko, even going so far as to say "Do you mind if I sign this as Co team leader." For a guy who wants to go into the military, he sure seems to have a problem with authority. He wouldn't go up to his commander and say "Do you mind if I sign this as Commander Phead". Its just not right.
I don't know why I have been going on for so long. Probably because Mr. Rocko is working on English in the resource room so he is not here to continuously interrupt me. I still have another 45 minutes of spare though. If I had known that Mr. Rocko was working in resource this period, I would have gone home at lunch time.
With yearbooks always comes another thing, yearbook signings. I haven't gotten a lot of signatures since grade 9 but I think I will try to this year, seeing as how I am graduating. I will probably bring my yearbook to Band Practice this morning and get some of my fellow Band members to sign it. It's kind of sad to think about how fast these past four years have gone by. Or that I will be going of to University next year, 7 hours away from home. And that Mr. Rocko won't be an hours bus ride away because he got wait listed at the university he wanted to go to.
In other news, we had the cake auction last Friday I think. Mr. Rocko and I were the representatives for our class. Our class only raised like $11 so we only got one thing. Mr. Rocko was left bidding while I went to get a microphone from the cage and when I came back he told me that he had bid blindly on something. We later found out it was cupcakes. There were not enough for everyone so those who had contributed money got a whole cup cake and I got a whole cupcake because I was a class representative and everyone else had to make do with splitting cupcakes.
I am starting to get worried because I have to by a prom dress soon. I have not worn a dress since I was 12. I don't own any dresses and I have no idea where to go shopping for a prom dress. I don't even know what a prom dress looks like. Any hints would be appreciated.
I had a busy weekend because I had a lot of things to study for, including a biology test, a math test, and a math summative. I am also busy studying computer science since our written test is coming up soon. Basically that's everything in my life right now. How boring!

Extra! Extra!
Mr. Rocko is really mean. He just said he was going to poo on me. I blame it on the heat. It's so hot out today. Kind of funny since Alberta, where my cousins live, had snow the other day. There is a smog warning in effect and they are telling people not to drive their cars or idle their cars. On the good side, my parents put in the air conditioning so that should make it cooler. It was 28 degrees inside my house yesterday. I don't know how I am going to live. Haha, Mr. Rocko's mom isn't answering the phone. There were not a lot of grade 12's in class today because of wondergrad. There were only 3 people in my math class today. My biology teacher was pissed because people skipped class even though they didn't leave until noon. She was especially pissed off because people skipped the quiz even though she told them there would be enough time to right the quiz. People can be really stupid sometimes. They should get zero on the quiz because Wondergrad is not a school sponsored event. Toronto prom no drinking. Random
Dirty Jobs
So my mom has been after me to clean my fish tank again. I sort of said that I would clean it two weeks ago. And she decided that the time has come to offer me "extra incentive" again. My internet stays of until I clean my fish tank. So not fair since I need internet for everything and because, the way I see it, is that everyone gets to enjoy having the fish, but only I have to feed them and clean the tank. And it's such a big job everytime I have to clean the fish tank. It takes like 45 minutes. In my opinion its 45 wasted minutes. Why can't the children pick up their own toys?

Post Secondary Obesity
What is a worse problem, second hand smoking or post secondary obesity. First of all, a lot of people suffer from obesity as children so to fix the problem you're really going to have to stop it at its source. Second of all, as Mr. Rocko pointed out, second hand smoke will kill you but who ever heard of someone dying from second hand fat. But apparently the health people of this city/province/country feel that post secondary obesity is a bigger problem than smoking and are transferring all of the expose funding there. These people have no idea what the hell they are doing. But I think we already new that from the health minister. They were talking about weather or not Medical Marijuana studies are a priority or not. Most teens would say yes but I have to say no, not really. There are plenty of other things out there that will kill you that need attention before medicinal marijuana.

Extract strawberry DNA
To do this you will need:
A plastic rod
ethanol
a mixture of salt, water, and shampoo
a plastic baggy
a strawberry
a test tube
a funnel
cheese cloth
a squirt bottle
1. Cut the top of the strawberry and core it and mash it in the plastic baggy for a couple of minutes
2. Add some of the salt-water-shampoo mixture to the baggy and continue to mash for another minute or so
3. Put the cheesecloth in the funnel and poor the strawberry gunk into the funnel to let it filter into the test tube until you have about and inch of strawberry solution
4. Slowly use the squirt bottle to fill the test tube up to half way with ethanol on top of the strawberry solution.
5. Use the rod to touch the strawberry solution where it meets the ethanol and start to stir slowly. You should see the DNA starting to clump.
Enjoy, courtesy of some biology teacher.

Oops not that way
So I got lost driving home from my friends house today. The people who designed the intersection there were brainless. It is so confusing and it's impossible to see the street signs. It took me 15 minutes to get home since I had to drive all the way around Bridlewood. On top of that, my dad informed me that the car could have stopped at any time on me since he was changing the battery earlier today and hadn't finished tightening one of the rods. Rod coming apart= stopped car. Anyways it annoyed me that it took so long to get home. On the other hand I did get to sigh see a bit. It all sucks in the end. That combined with the fact that I have school tomorrow makes me pissed of. On the bright side the reviews form Little Shop of Horrors were out in the paper today. The full review complemented Mr. Rocko and I.

Yay no work
So apparently I don't have to work tonight after all. Origionally we thought they were setting up in the Calf but B-rocker said today they were setting up movie night in a class room. I finally have a friday night of to myself. And since today is a day 1 and I have spare last period, I'll actually get to go home early today. On top of that I had a canceled class. Today is officially the best friday I have had in a while. The only think that could possibly make it better would be finding out that Mr. Rocko got accepted at the radio and television program at Ryerson. Awesome

Ubuntu
It's really weird because currently I am writing this from my home computer with Ubuntu booted from a CD. It's called a live CD so that you can run Ubuntu without installing it. I might consider creating a CD of an older version so that I can save my state on my USB key. It's weird though because I could open files on my hard drive but I can't write to my hard drive. I am trying Lynix and it feels surreal since I booted it on my home machine. Hopefully I will still be able to boot Mac OS X normally after this since my mom doesn't know I was using Lynix.
Community Cleanup day
To be edited later after we clean up the capital and maybe visit Tim Hortons. Sometimes it is kind of gross to see all the garbage in our community. And speaking of gross, Mr. Rocko is discussing sperm count with B-rocker. That is beyond gross. Anyways cleanup starts in ten minutes.
Edit: So comunity cleanup day went fine. We ended up in an area that was actually fairly clean already. We picked up a bit of garbage but not that much. We relaxed in the shade some and then went to Tim Horton's. After we came back and had a barbecue. Mr. Rocko was playing music and got a lot of requests. Especially from the break dancers. A couple of the break dancers actually graduated last year and were coming back to visit. One of them was really fine. When he stood on his head his shirt fell down and I could see his muscles. He had really nice abs. I don't even know his name but he was friends with the Breakdance King. The break dance king was sort of weird and there are rumours going around that he got a teacher fired by sleeping with her. Personally I don't think that is true, especially since the teacher is still in the system. The same people were also talking about what happened to a certain chemistry teacher who had to stop teaching halfway through the semester. So far all of it is just rumours and nothing has been confirmed.
So I have to work on Friday. I have to run the equipment for the school movie night. It's annoying because they are watching "Accepted" and I own that movie. Up until yesterday we asumed the Pig would be running things since his sister was one of the organisers but then she told us that the Pig would be away at camp. And since Mr. Rocko will be working I have to stay and run things. That also means I might not be able to go stargazing with the astronomy club. We haven't been able to go out at night in so long so I'll be really disappointed if we're going out and I can't make it. I couldn't make the last session either because I was away for the weekend at a hockey tournament. I'm looking forward to it even though the spring/early summer sky is not nearly as good as the winter sky. We missed so much this past winter becuase the skies weren't clear or because people couldn't make it out.
Mr. Rocko keeps talking about skiping Computer Science. And the sad part is I think he may actually be serious this time. He keep's leaving me really concerned. At least I know that he has not left yet since his bag is still in the office. But still... he keeps threatning to skip and has said that he has just given up on Computer Science. I don't know why but it makes me so sad I almost want to cry. I'll see what I can do about helping him finish his bit patterns assignment, since the teacher has basically said that we don't have to finish the permutations assignment (even though I already have). Anyways I'll see what I can do for him.

Nerve Wracking Test
So I had a math test today. Most of the knowledge questions were really easy and easily finished. Some of the application questions were a little bit more challenge. I think I got most of them right although I may have messed up somewhere when solving one of my matrices. The tips was hard as hell though. I really hope I did well because I need to keep my mark up for the course since it's a required course for my university program and certain people think I should keep my admissions average above 85 % in order to keep the entrance scholarship I was offered. It bugs me that I had any trouble at all with the test since this is the easiest unit. I always seem to have problems with the matrices since I seem to miss the little details a lot. And the worst part was I had to write into lunch so that I missed most of my lunch period. And I have computer science next not spare. Not like I have much time to relax during spare anyways. Mr. Rocko and I always seem to have work to do during spare. We spend so much of our time doing tech work and not enough time relaxing or more importantly, for us university bound student's, doing homework. It sucks.
More random Stuff
So I had an interesting conversation yesterday afternoon with Mr. Rocko. We started talking about god, life, the universe, everything, and nothing. I came up with a theory that past present and future coexsistant silmoultaneously and that we exsist everywhere and everywhen at once but consioucly choose to exsist in what we consider the present. But at night our subconcious can escape those conscious bounds and reveal its true nature as "seeing the future." This can also manifest itself in dejavu. We feel as if we have experienced something before because we have. Strange things. Anyways its time for class now.

Tear Down, Uni, and Random Thoughts
So first of all I know I still have to post more on how the show went. And second off all the bad part about having our equipment permanetly in place for two months is that now we have to tear it all down. And believe me that is a lot of work. Considering the set up origionally took almost an hour. Defenitely something I'm not looking forward to. Even after Little Shop of Horrors is over, it's not really over. The universities are also starting to get to me. Yesterday I got a letter and a phone call from Queens, and I don't even want to go to Queen's. They are certainly annoying me. Mr. Rocko has yet to hear from the uni he wishes to attend even though they said he would hear by last week. They lied and acted bitchy when he called about it.
Now on to the random thoughts. I was thinking about time travel this morning because of something I saw on tv. In order for time travel to be possible, the past, present, and future would have to exsist silmoultaneously. However there is evidence to support that theory. One of these is being able to see the future. I'm not talking about the carnival show tell your future crap. I'm more talking when people see something that is going to happen in a dream. The type of thing where people often see the future without knowing their dreams will "come true" until they actually happen. In order for someone to be able to see an event that will come, the future must be happening at the same time as the present. But on the other hand, this very thing defies logic. Or perhaps it doesn't. Maybe when we see the future we are really jumping along to another part of our conciousness. I don't have time to explain what I mean now and I really think these are thoughts better left for another day.

Last Day- finally
Today is finally the last day of the Little Shop of Horrors performance. Yesterday we did our cappies performence yesterday. We haven't seen the reviews yet but Mrs. Hinkleman's husband was watching the Cappies people were laughing and seemed to be enjoying themselves. Everything has gone well so far. Besides the fact that I have a ton of homework this weekend. That includes catchup homework for classes I have missed. I have to catch up on my computer science work. I have not been to computer science in a couple of days. There was also a problem during the dress rehearsal with a proffesional wearing a motercycle and riding a leather jacket. During the first performance Mushnik forgot one of his props and had to cover up on the fly. The last show starts in an hour and a half. I'm at school already but I am hiding out in the Computer Lab. I created an algorithm that I hope will let me finish the computer science program I was working on. Mr. Rocko is sitting next to me singing the meek shall inherit. Yesterday the Pig showed up for the performance wearing jeans and an ugly t-shirt when the rest of us were in dress clothes. And then he got dandruff all over it. That was disgusting. There is lots more to say about the Little Shop of Horrors but I am to distracted to right now. More later.

D-day
Tommorow is D-day. The opening day for Little Shop of Horrors. Yesterday was the official dress rehearsal before a live audience. The dress rehearsal went suprisingly well. The director was impressed with the Lighting again and the sound was the best I have ever seen...err heard it. The only blip of the entire show was the Pig. He once again live up to his name, eating two sandwhiches, a whole bag of carrots, and a Bag of Doritoes over the course of a couple hours. Including eating throughout the entire second act. And he was the only one who was in the main house, sitting with the audience, in plain view. It was quite disgusting actually. Mr. Rocko was pretty pissed of and it made me one to pummel the pig. Except that then I would have to touch him. Ewww. Anyways there is a short rehearsal today and then D-day tommorow. I'm behind in my math (by a lesson) and I have to tests next week. I won't be in class all day tommorow and I have to do a lab at lunch. Then I will be here from like 7:50 in the morning to like 10:00 at night on Thursday and Friday. In other news Mr. Rocko has decided to make a lifestyle choice. He got rid of all the chips and the chocolate and is going on a diet. I was so sad yesterday because he bought no fat chocolate milk and drank the whole carton and then realized it was 600 calories. I don't know why that makes me so sad but it does. It makes me want to cry. I hope he finds success in his health phase.

Ouchies and Boardem
There is not really much to say right now. My back is sore and I don't know what to do. I went to Mr. Rocko's yesterday and I had a rehearsal during the day but that was about it. Nothing major happened during rehearsal except that the Pig wasn't there and he never said he wasn't going to be there. I am worried a little bit about school because I have a Computer Science test and a Biology quiz on Tuesday but I haven't studied yet. I'll study Computer Science with Mr. Rocko during spare tomorrow since he is in my class. I will have to study for my Biology quiz tomorrow evening. I got 60 % on the last quiz so I have to study really hard for this one since I need to raise my mark. I also have a Math test approaching and I need to catch up on some Math tomorrow evening. That on top of rehearsal after school. I really don't know what I am supposed to do.

Cookies, Cravings and weird stuffs
So today Mr. Rocko and I went up to the mall to buy some chocolate for our computer science teacher (Mr. Rocko owed her some chocolate). While we were there Mr. Rocko bought some cookies. The cookies drove everyone around us crazy. Some little grade 10's kept bugging us for cookies and the grade 12's were talking about stealing cookies so we hid them and got B-ray to lock the door for us. That was the cookies and cravings part. Now comes the weird stuffs. Mr. Rocko and I came up with our master plan to steal a fair ride. Mr. Rocko called up his alien buddy, Mr. Q, and got him to agree to pick up the ride with his medium UFO and bring it to Mars. Then we were talking about the Zombie Mr. Rocko's and the zombie chickens who eat Zombie meese, unflavored on weekdays, flavored on holidays and weekends. Mr. Rocko said the zombie Mr. Rocko's were banned from future shop for 3 days because one of them tried to park his jet pack on the roof. Since they live within walking distance of future shop, they also live within walking/jetpack distance of a couple of banks. We planned to meet Mr. Q at the the mall at 5:00 pm his time which was 9:26 pm our time. So that was what happened on this Friday. Friday's are always crazy around here.

Better Days
So life has gotten better in terms of the Little Shop of Horrors and the Director. The director was a lot nicer at the last rehearsal. She left me on my own without calling out the cues and she was really pleased with how well I did the cues. I guess that is weight off her shoulders to know that her lighting director is competent. There was an incident with Jane today. She was telling her friends about how we keep chocolate in the office. She didn't realize I was standing behind her at the time. And then she went into the office to check if there was any candy in the stash. There was some but I didn't even let her check. Mr. Rocko gave her a talking to and she gave some serious attitude. We had the day off from rehearsal today and I only had to go to one class because Math was cancelled and during computer science we were setting up for an assembly. As well Mr. Rocko changed the teams name to the Nerd Squad. Don't ask me why. Anyways I finally figured out how to finish my program so I feel a lot better now. Anyways the stress is off although I didn't finish my homework for Math Class. Oh well. Life is finally starting to look up. Except that I have to spend all of Saturday at school.

Amazing

The amazing thing about these images is that the time stamps prove they were taken only about 9 days apart. What's even more amazing is the knowledge that last week we had snow on Monday and then it was 25 ° C on Friday. This must truly be the affect of global warming to have such drastic changes in such short periods of time.

Finally some rest
So the Director gave us Wednesday. Thursday and Friday off last week. We had Wednesday and Thursday off because the actors were just working on their songs and we had friday off because there was no rehearsal friday. I was actually home early for once. I also got my midterm report card on friday and my average so far for this semester is almost 88 %/ But there was a problem with my computer science mark because it was higher than it should have been. Anyways its good that I am keeping my marks up because I need 85 % to keep my scholarship for university. While it was nice to have a couple days off, there was a downside. I had to go into school saturday morning because we were trying out the new equalizer. It sounded great but it was nothing to loose sleep over. Speaking of loosing sleep, I have a Biology test on Tuesday. I've studied hard for my test but tests always make me nervous. I have to do well to make up for the 60 % I got on my last quiz. I got so low because I was working on other stuff and had no time to study for the quiz. Another thing about Friday, no one went into the office for once. Someone went into the office three times last week during third period. We know because they stole chair's from the office. We suspect it was Jane because she was pissed off about quitting the team and everything else. Anyways I really don't know what I am going to do now because I am so board. There is nothing to do around here.

Yay Finally A Day Off
Finally we have a day off from the Little Shop of Horrors and our evil director. Today she came in complaining about how I "Wasn't following the cues." It's kind of hard to follow cues when she changes the cues on the fly every single rehearsal. Tonight we are only needed for pictures and then we can leave. My first afternoon off in almost three weeks. More on Jane as well. Apparently she did not enjoy being on the AV team all this time. Bullshit. If she had a problem she should have said so.
Random Breakage
So my brother was walking out the door this morning when he noticed the door wouldn't close. I came to help him shut it and when he pushed the door closed again the whole cross piece (with a piston to slow the closing of the screen door) broke off from the wall. I examined the break (that make me feel so important) and not only was one of the screws pulled out from the wood entirely, but the metal around two of the screws had broken apart entirely. Seems to me that they had rusted through which is pretty crappy considering that we only had the door replaced a couple of years ago. Someone has really shitty manufacturing. Someone needs to go to university. I am just bitching because my dad went off to my cousins wedding and wouldn't let me go. Or should I say is about to leave in like two minutes. I have to go to school soon and I am tired because I have another rehearsal of the Little Shop of Horrors tonight. I simply can't leave the Pig to run the lighting.

Universities that try to much
The universities that suck the most are the universities that try to much. One university that I applied to has pretty much insured that I would never even consider accepting their offer of admissions. For one they offered way to quick, only a week after I applied. Second of all they have become the annoying fly. They constantly send me e-mails, letters, flyers, even telephone me to ask if I have any questions or to tell me about all the events they have going. I really don't care. It wouldn't bother me so much if they only sent one letter or flyer but it is the mere amount of their communications that puts me off. In my eyes it shows a certain desperateness if they are going to such lengths to attract students. I think that universities that try to much such as this one should take a good long look in the mirror and give themselves time to think. Cub Carson. They might just figure out why they are not attracting many students.
Rabid Aquatic goats
So I wrote a math contest today. In preparation for the contest I was looking through old contests. One of the questions had to do with survivors on an island building a driftwood shelter for their goat. Now my question to my good pal Mr. Rocko upon reading this was "Why the heck do they have a goat in the first question. Sadly Mr. Rocko was no help, only telling me to "figure it out mathematically." Now today I was writing the contest and there was a question about a couple of islands surrounded by water filled with... rabid aquatic goats. What is with them and goat? Well this afternoon I was telling Mr. Rocko how in order to be 100 % prepared for the contest you would have to study every single thing to do with math. His comment was "Ya, everything about Math and everything about goats." Anyways this was just a brief interruption from "The Little Shop of Horrors," or as a classmate called it "Little Shop of Whores." In her defense she thought that Mr. Rocko actually said Whores. We had another rehearsal tonight and while we managed to avoid Death Wishes, we found out that one of our speakers was blown. On top of that Mr. Rocko and I had to leave before the end of rehearsal since the Director never told us it was a full run through today. I had to leave the Pig on the lighting board. It should have been pretty easy, a simple fade to blackout and fade up in one scene, a blackout at the end. Apparently not. We were standing by our lockers when we saw the lights blacked out and the Director, apparently forgetting I had to leave, calling up to me about the lighting, particularly about something that was done wrong. The Pig can't even handle the simplest tasks. But on the bright side, having him screw up immediately makes me look all the better to the Director. On the bad side, we have to go in on Saturday to play around with the sound and we have a full technical rehearsal the Saturday after. Not much time left for myself anymore.

Somebody Quit
So we have had an interesting last couple of days. On the weekend one of the team members, Jane, sent Mr. Rocko a really weird e-mail that left Mr. Rocko severly disturbed. Then said member said on Monday that her younger brother sent the e-mail because she let her little brother reply to her e-mails for her. Mr. Rocko started joking around with her about forwarding the e-mail to all of his contacts and she got severly pissed off, enough that she said she was quitting. Personally I am glad that Jane left since she was a real bitch. Somebody said that they was glad that she quit and the Director will probably be glad that she quit as well. Obviously she wasn't much liked around the team and the cast of the play. Mr. Rocko thinks she flipped because she really sent the e-mail herself and was pissed that Mr. Rocko would invade her privacy by showing it to everyone. Don't know why she thought he would keep it a secret though. Mr. Rocko already told her there was no point in her telling something to just him since he would just tell me anyways. Foolish little witch. With Jane gone and Mat completely unreliable these days, the play could be in trouble.

The Killing Died down
It's a friday night and as usual I am stuck at home by myself while everyone else is out having fun. Not that I mind overly much. I haven't actually been home for that long since I had another rehearsal after school today. The rehearsal wasn't that bad since the Director didn't complain as much. Mr. Rocko no longer feels the need to kill the Director although he did mention jumping from the upper caf at one point, but only if the Director complained too much. I also got my offer of admissions from QU today. That means I got accepted at all the universities I applied to. Mr. Rocko is still waiting to find out if he got into the Radio and Television program at RY. RY is only about an hour and a half from the university I am going to so I will still be able to visit Mr. Rocko some days. I wasn't feeling well earlier today but my stomach is feeling much improved. And people say friday the 13 is unlucky.

The Teen Years
The teen years can be some of the most troulbling years. Luckily for me those years are almost over. Midterm report cards come out next week for the final semester of my final year of high school. I don't have much to worry about. I'm getting ok grades and I was accepted into the Computer Science program at the University I wanted to go through. But now I have to worry about getting high enough marks to make an 85% admission average in order to retain my scholorship. Normally that wouldn't be to hard except that I am having trouble with Geometry and Discrete, only a 77%, and that is one of the required courses for my program.
I am also doing lighting as part of the Technical crew for the school play. So far it has been nothing but a disaster. The sound is never good enough, the mics keep cutting out, the light's aren't bright enough, and we are still short two spotlights. Every single day the director complains about something. Mostly because Jane never pays attention and has to be told what to do every single second. Yesterday she had to ask me if she should throw out the garbage that was on the table. And then there is Mat who is consitently unrealiable. I talked to Mat earlier today and he said that he may or may not be able to attend the rehearsal today after school. My friend, Mr. Rocko, is the Technical Director and he is just about ready to either murder the director or just walk. Doing either would leave him in a lot of trouble with somebody. Apparently not only does the director complain about the technical stuff to our faces, but she also complains about the technical stuff behind our backs to other teachers. Mr. Rocko is just about ready to have a melt down.
